Consisting of a series of races in which guests can crew for world-renowned helmsmen, including Paul Cayard from AmericaOne, Russell Coutts of New Zealand and. Dawn Riley from America True, the regatta will feature current champions and some of sailing's best-known legends: Lowell North, Rod Johnstone, Charles "Butch" Ulmer and Keith Musto.

Guests will race on Bitter End's Freedom 30s in a triple-racing, format debuted at last year's Pro-Am Regatta. Individual race winners and the overall regatta champion of the week will be celebrated, at an awards ceremony on .

As part of the week-long festivities, guests can compete in the 5th Annual Nantucket Nectars Defiance Day Race and awards party. Named for Sir Francis Drake's attack flagship Defiance, this 18-mile race commemorates his visit to the North Sound in 1595. The regatta is open to any of the nearly 500 charter boats in the BVI, plus local racing and cruising boats. Guests can also race on Bitter End's Freedom 30s, J24s and Express 37s.

Packages for the Pro-Am Regatta start at $1,400 per person for seven nights, based on double occupancy. Rates include three meals daily and complimentary use of the resort's fleet of more than 100 watercraft.
